We’ve changed it up a bit in this episode of Size Matters Tech. In this episode we have our old regular, Lauren Malhoit (@malhoit), and a new co-host Adam Eckerle (@eck79)! As a guest we have Chris Malhoit (note the last name). Chris has spent several years in IT as both a programmer and operations guy. Sound familiar? Sounds a little like DevOps to me. In this episode we’re talking exclusively about a free, open source tool called Auto Hot Key. This tool is not your father’s macro creator. Well, technically it is my father’s macro creator, but it’s so much more. You can actually create GUIs with it, created executable files which can be distributed to servers and desktops which don’t have AHK installed, and automate the heck out of your environment with very limited (or maybe even no) programming skills. We also discover there could be some pretty neat use cases around home automation!
